CURRICULUM

 

At the core, our academic program follows the CBSE syllabus.
Our language program helps children coming from non-English speaking
backgrounds to become more proficient in communication. To support the emotional
and social development of the child, our Personal Development program focuses on
providing age appropriate guidance and counselling to all our children. The
Entrepreneurship program aims to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills in
our youth so that they can go out and be leaders in the field they choose.

MIDDLE YEARS

Grades 6 – 8

In languages, a child has to choose 2 additional languages to learn along with
English. Options to choose from include Arabic, Hindi and Malayalam.
Other core subjects include Maths, Science and Social Sciences.
Computer Science, Islamic Education, Value Education and Social Emotional
Learning is included as part of the curriculum.
Co-curricular programs include Robotics, Physical Education, Art, Library,
Swimming, Karate, Kungfu, Archery, Abacus, soccer, Badminton and Roller Skating
Children also choose to be part of a wide range of club activities.

SECONDARY

Grades 9 – 10

In languages, a child has to choose 1 additional language to learn along with
English. Options to choose from include Arabic, Hindi and Malayalam.

LEARNING SUPPORT

Remedial


Remedial education (also known as developmental education, basic skills education,
compensatory education, preparatory education, and academic upgrading) is
provided to students to assist them in order to achieve expected competencies in
core academic skills such as literacy and numeracy.

Special Education


Special Education is provided to children and to assist them in coping with the
academic challenges and also to support them in their learning.

LIFE SKILLS & VALUE EDUCATION

MPS provides counselling and guidance to the students’ as a part of the regular
school program. It includes a variety of group – oriented activities designed to
enhance students’ attitude and values. We also give individualised attention to the
students’ assisting them in specific educational, personal and career issues.

Spirituality simply means human mind’s intense longing for a sense of meaning and
fulfilment through moral relationship between diverse individuals, communities,
culture and religions. We inculcate societal values and an understanding of life, joy,
belonging, honesty and justice into every single student and in turn enable them to
respond ethically and responsibly to the society. The beautiful prayer hall in the
campus has been built in the indo-saracenic architecture style and it is used for daily
prayers, Friday prayer and as a learning centre of Holy Quran and Islamic culture.
At MPS, we are passionate about making a positive impact in the life of a child. We
believe that during the School years, children must be taught valuable lessons of life,
develop self-esteem, enhance social and emotional skills, develop empathy and
foster appreciation for good content and media.
Our specialized programs include cinema based curriculum for life skills education,
value and moral education, foster parenting and counselling services.
